Penn State Beaver is seeking a full-time, detailed-oriented and organized Alumni and Stewardship Officer for the Development Department. Duties: The Alumni Relations and Stewardship Officer reports directly to the Director of Development within the Beaver campus and is responsible for the oversight and management of the alumni relations and/or stewardship program for the Beaver Campus. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with and in support of, donors and potential donors; alumni and friends of the campus; and multiple volunteer planning committees, as well as serve as the campus liaison for the Beaver Alumni Society. These relationships are influential when hosting Development events, in which experience with special events coordination is imperative. In addition to building and maintaining relationships, the Alumni Relations and Stewardship Officer solicits all levels of sponsorships and donations for campus fundraising, programming and special events via letters, emails, and phone calls; serving as a liaison with outside vendors on event-related matters. It is the responsibility of this position to record and keep accurate records for major gifts and all donations and continually update and correct alumni/donor records with the Development database, as well as monitor, track and reconcile all finances related to events by overseeing the budgets and purchasing card transactions. The administrative piece of this position entails preparing mailing materials (letters, invitations, emails, solicitations); managing inventory of Development marketing materials and supplies, and coordinating travel and travel expense reimbursements. This position may be required to periodically work evenings and/or weekends, depending on Development events. This position requires periodic travel to University Park for Development sponsored events and/or training. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with special event coordination experience are preferred. Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and prior experience working with databases are required.
