The Lifecycle Engineering Department of the Applied Research Laboratory is seeking an undergraduate student for a summer internship opportunity. The Lifeycle Engineering department at the Applied Research Laboratory works on projects for a variety of sponsors most of which are US Department of Defense (DoD) with the US Navy being the most prominent. Typical duties may include assisting the project Principal Investigator with developing a cost-benefit analysis for DoD software procurements as well as various hardware development testing analysis for our Navy customers. Students studying Industrial Engineering are encouraged to apply. Some experience with engineering design, financial analysis, decision analysis and undergrad classroom project experience is preferred. The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours per week over the summer. This is a paid internship located at ARL’s Applied Science Building on campus; relocation and housing are not provided. Candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
