Ancillary Services, a division of Housing and Food Services, is seeking candidates for the position of Manager, Conference Services and Commons Desk Operations. The Manager will assist the Conference Services operations by meeting and communicating with clients to identify and confirm details for conference events requiring on-campus housing and meals; managing the Conference Services master calendar; coordinating the housing process for each conference group (processing room rosters and assignments, managing building access clearances, printing registration forms, and packing forms, IDs, and room keys for check-in); communicating with clients and Housing and Food Services staff to identify and accommodate changing client/business needs; assisting with the hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, evaluation, and discipline of assigned employees. The Manager will also assist the Commons Desk Operations by performing rounds and overseeing daily operations; creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); managing temporary IDs; and resolving cash register overages/shortages. The Manager will also offer customer service to students, parents, staff, and visitors via phone calls, emails, faxes, and in person within FERPA guidelines. Maintain confidential and/or sensitive information and material. The successful candidate should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, strong organizational and multitasking skills, attention to detail and confidentiality, and the ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in a hospitality or business related discipline or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Excel preferred. A strong commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace is required. Evening and weekend work required.
