Description

The Stress and Immunity Lab in the Department of Biobehavioral Health at Penn State University Park is seeking a part-time Research Support Assistant for the spring semester, with the possibility for continuation. The lab is located in the Health and Human Development building. The Research Support Assistant will assist with all aspects of laboratory management, including the shipping and receiving of biological samples, ordering of lab supplies and assay kits, tracking of budgets, and general lab maintenance (e.g., autoclaving of glassware, disposal of biohazardous materials). Opportunities for data cleaning and analysis are available. Ideal candidates are students currently enrolled in undergraduate programs in neuroscience, psychology, biological sciences, or other health-related areas. Some prior laboratory experience through course or lab-based training is needed. The position will be for either 6 or 8 hours per week and can be divided across multiple days (not more than three) if required.
