Penn State’s World Campus, located in University Park, PA is seeking a motivated, flexible, and team-oriented person to serve as a Program Coordinator within Program Planning and Management. In this position, you will coordinate the duties and assignments that are the responsibility of the Program Associate group within Program Planning and Management. This includes: providing leadership and feedback on items related to Program Associate functions, task performance, staffing, coverage, and professional development opportunities; lead search committees and oversee onboarding for new employees; coordinate process improvement initiatives, projects, and the documentation and reporting of processes and procedures related to the work of the Program Associates. In addition, the Program Coordinator will assist and support Program Managers in the development and delivery of undergraduate and graduate degrees, certificates, and courses offered by academic departments and colleges. This includes: assist with compiling information for budget preparation and related communications; confirm course development and offering schedules; prepare, update, and disseminate program and course information; work with academic partners to resolve issues; enter course and instructor information into University and World Campus systems, and resolve issues related to the above with internal and external stakeholders. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Competencies critical to success include: the ability to learn quickly, excellent communications and problem-solving skills, a proactive and positive demeanor, strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment, and experience with a student information mainframe or similar systems. This is a fixed-term position funded for one year with excellent possibility of re-funding.
