The Department of Entomology is seeking a Financial Assistant to support department financial operations; assist with management and processing of general, appropriated, and extramural funds in accordance with established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will process electronic documents in IBIS, eBuy, or ERS; manage all aspects of the purchasing card process for department; review and reconcile direct bill charges on CRFN. Create, process, monitor, and reconcile purchase orders. Review and approve deposits and perform cash handling duties. Manage department gift process. Prepare salary redistribution; process department fleet reservations; perform data entry duties; file and/or image documents. Assist with special financial projects; answer phones and greet visitors; serve as backup part-time timekeeper. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with IBIS, eBuy, Workday, eSteward, and Microsoft Office, preferred. Candidates must have the ability to work independently and flourish in a team environment. Candidates must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills and attention to detail.
