Description

Penn State Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, is seeking a Human Resources Associate to provide exceptional customer service to hiring managers and HR professionals across the University. Responsibilities include: Administrative recruiting functions; managing assigned unit/s requisitions in Workday; initiating external advertising; initiating background checks; drafting offer letters; completing the hire action in Workday and ensure compliance with University policy and applicable State and Federal laws; and investigate and resolve routine to intermediate inquiries. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills; strong customer service skills; accuracy and attention to detail; a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality; the ability to effectively learn and utilize new technologies, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task. The ability to develop positive relationships with peers, hiring managers, and prospective applicants is essential.
