Join a dynamic customer oriented team of The Nittany Lion Inn, a AAA 4-Diamond rated hotel, one of two premier properties owned and operated by The Pennsylvania State University under the Penn State Hospitality Services (PSHS) umbrella, in beautiful central Pennsylvania. Responsible for the development and coordination of assigned events to include off-premise catering, weddings, receptions, conferences, etc., for Penn State Hospitality Services. Coordinate all details of the events and communicate information and changes utilizing a catering software system to generate event orders. Communicate all changes via the software system, e-mail, and interpersonal conversations. Serve as liaison between the event contact and all hotel departments and staff members. While group is on-site, serve as the point person and perform pre-checks on all events, troubleshoot challenges, confirm high quality of service and product at a AAA 4 diamond property, and manage changes as they arise for successful event execution. Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, guests, and co-workers to ensure return business. Responsible for maximum revenue generation for events, submitting charges, generating bills, and conducting post-conference audits. Participate in various meetings, committees, and internship programs. Work schedule varies based on business demands (various/various).
