Responsible for oversight of post award management functions and activities that involve establishing accounts for each sponsored research agreement through account closure. Ensure costs applied to funded research are in compliance with all fiscal policies and procedures of the sponsor and the University. Approve and process sub award invoices for assigned departments. Approve Journal Vouchers, once reviewing the Cost Transfer Forms for restricted accounts. Set financial and budgetary controls on various accounts within the University structure to ensure compliance with University Policy and Procedure. Monitor and identify payments received on funded research accounts. Interact with various funding agencies / organizations and subawardees as the primary COM Financial Point of Contact. Coordinate closing of research grants and contracts and prepare any necessary financial reports to funding sponsors. Provide guidance, expertise and training to all assigned departmental financial analyst/ accountants (~14) in managing accounts and utilizing IBIS effectively. Support and maintain policies and procedures that support and direct our post award functions. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
