The Pennsylvania State University, Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), University Park, PA has a Psychologist position (Level 3 or Level 4) available beginning August 6, 2020. Duties include: providing individual and group psychotherapy, initial consultations and triage, outreach and consultation, clinical supervision to trainees, and crisis intervention. Expertise in collaborative care for transgender and gender diverse clients, consulting/liaisoning with campus partners regarding services for sexually and gender diverse clients, as well as experience training staff related to clinical considerations in working with clients identifying as sexually and/or gender diverse are required. The successful candidate will have substantial experience and expertise in sexual and gender diverse focused services, experience training other professionals, and proven effectiveness collaborating with campus/community partners/stakeholders regarding the mental health needs of students who identify as sexually and/or gender diverse. Recognizing the unique needs of sexual and/or gender diverse communities, it is preferred that candidates have a strong commitment to social justice and are able to navigate the multiple layers of identity that students experience, including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, nationality, class, disability, religion, sexuality, and gender. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. APA accredited training/internship and counseling center experience preferred. A one-year, full-time doctoral internship in Professional Psychology or Health Service Psychology is required.
