Description

The Penn State Center for Science and the Schools (CSATS) invites applications for an Administrative Support Assistant. The successful candidate will have a broad variety of responsibilities including assisting with events and programs and managing logistics; coordinating travel reimbursements and preparing purchasing card documentation; preparing and reconciling invoices; assisting with managing websites and social media; assisting with developing marketing materials; maintaining databases; scheduling meetings and appointments and managing the curriculum kits developed by CSATS. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, as well as professionalism and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with standard computer applications and programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Candidates must demonstrate the following behaviors/skills: professionalism with a high commitment to customer service, interpersonal/communications skills, organizational skills, ability to manage and prioritize tasks with minimal direction, and exercise discretion and judgement while managing confidential materials.
