The Study of Healthy Aging and Applied Research Programs (SHAARP) lab in the College of Health and Human Development’s Center for Healthy Aging is hiring a full time Research Project Assistant to work in studies with older adults. This position will involve working in multiple aspects of the lab, including participant outreach, recruitment, and scheduling as well as neuropsychological testing. Additional duties may include data collection, entry and monitoring for quality. Administrative duties may include assisting with training and monitoring part time undergraduate staff, ordering supplies, managing study participants equipment (chrome books and mobile phones), and preparing mailings to participants and outreach sites. Some flexibility for early or late hours may be necessary on occasion. This job will be filled as a level 1, or level 2, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 1. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Previous experience with neuropsychological testing and/or advanced technology experience would be a bonus. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, enjoy working with older adults, have excellent time management skills, work well in a team environment, be self-motivated, be able to follow directions and work in a very detail-oriented fashion. Previous experience with data entry, Microsoft Office applications, chrome books, mobile phones, MRI, analysis software and other technology should be highlighted in the covered letter. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
