The mission of the Division of Autism Services, Penn State Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, is to discover, develop and disseminate approaches that will address the needs and improve the quality of life for individuals of all ages with autism as well as their families. Activities focus on developing effective communication strategies, locally, throughout the State, and nationwide, for individuals with autism, families of individuals with autism, as well as education and training for community clinical, behavioral and educational providers, advocacy organizations, government agencies, policy makers and academic partners. The Division of Autism Services is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist 2 to: Develop marketing strategy for ASERT (Autism Services, Education, Resources and Training Collaborative) by identifying communications needs based on relevant research. Coordinate the production of marketing communications in various social media channels in accordance with ASERT's mission, with innovative and best practices, in order to broaden the reach of programs. Create and coordinate the production of marketing and/or promotional communications to intended audiences that may include print, electronic, new/emerging media and other collateral/analytics that represent best practices. Develop training dissemination plans to target audiences with the ability to measure impact and report to community, regional, and statewide stakeholders. Deliver presentations of creative work to clients and stakeholders. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently on deliverables required. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with non-profit agencies preferred. This is a fixed term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
