Penn State Abington, Global Programs, has an opening for an Administrative Assistant position. This position reports directly to the Director of Global Programs. The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Director as well as the Global Programs staff. The primary duties of this position are: front desk receptionist to all our visitors such as our students, faculty and staff, student worker supervision, office management, meeting scheduling, processing financial transactions, coordinating travel arrangements, making reservations, and processing. Other duties include but are not limited to providing support to two different departments: Center for Intercultural Learning and Communication and Faculty Senate. Responsibilities for the above two office includes event scheduling, making reservations, and processing. The successful candidate will possess these characteristics: detail-oriented and customer-service focused. Similarly, the successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to monitor budgets and process reconciliation. Successful candidates will be able to thrive in an international, intercultural, and highly diverse environment. Prior experience with payments, purchasing, human resources, or contracts is a plus.
