The College of Health and Human Development Office of Communications and Marketing is seeking an Assistant Director who will be responsible for overseeing engagement through digital and multimedia communication efforts. The Assistant Director will develop and contribute to efforts that support strategic communications objectives of the college and its constituent units through content optimization at websites, in emails, through social media, and multimedia content, as well as collaborating with peers and integrating engagement efforts at the University. The Assistant Director will provide expert consulting to support the stated strategic goals and objectives of the college and its constituent units, recommending appropriate actions to develop strategies and support to meet engagement objectives. Efforts will be purposeful and measurable, assessed through analytics and evidence to maximize efficiencies and reach. The Assistant Director will assess and implement various workflow efficiencies and ensuring that communications are in adherence with college and University goals/vision/requirements. Other responsibilities include leading training programs for standard processes utilized by staff members; leading selected engagement-focused campaigns that focus on the college's main goals and objectives; working with a variety of stakeholders; develop, maintain, and manage a strategic college-wide social media plan; and manage, train, and consult with users of the college’s digital platforms. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with visual communication (graphics, multimedia, and videography) is strongly preferred. Advanced knowledge of content management systems, social media management platforms, the Adobe Creative Suite and/or creative communications production, digital analytics, SEO/SEM, email platforms, web accessibility, and demonstrated success leading training initiatives is required.
