Description

Penn State Department of Computer Science and Engineering has a Postdoctoral position available to accelerate research aims of Army Research Lab funded research projects related to performing distributed analytics in a mixed network setting. Expertise in networking and optimization is highly valuable. Expertise with video processing, deep learning and systems work is also valued. The candidate will perform advanced research in the general area of optimizing distributed processing for analytics tasks. The candidate will perform original research as part of a research team and will tailor research efforts to the needs of the supporting groups from industry and/or government. The Post Doc will be required to travel, will be based at Penn State, and will periodically spend significant time (2 weeks – 2 months) at the U.S. Army Research Lab in Adelphi, MD. A Ph.D. in relevant field required.
