Description

The Center for Neural Engineering at Penn State University has two Postdoctoral positions available for an NIH Collaborative Research in Computational Neuroscience project entitled: “State-Dependent Control for Brain Modulation”. This project employs computational neuroscience modeling and optimal control engineering strategies along with experimental neurophysiology and instrumentation to control experimental seizures and spreading depression (J Neurosci 34:11733, 2014; Sci Reports 8, 8769, 2018). Ideal candidates would have a recent Ph.D. with relevant background in either experimental neuroscience (electrophysiology or cellular imaging are advantageous) or in computational neuroscience (engineering backgrounds are advantageous).
