Description

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Penn State University has a Postdoc position opening starting in spring of 2020.This position is funded through a Department of Energy project on understanding the water and biogeochemistry dynamics at the watershed scale. The project will involve the use of spatially explicit, process-based hydrobiogeochemical modeling at multiple watersheds under different climate, geology, and land cover condition. Multiple watersheds from DoE SFA sites, NSF Critical Zone Observatories (CZOs), Long-term Ecological Research (LTER) research network will be selected for this project. The candidate will work within a multi-university team comprised of faculty and graduate students from Penn State University and Oregon State University. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in hydrology, environmental engineering, biogeochemistry, or related fields with strong background and experience in modeling.
