Enrollment Services Specialist (Graduate Enrollment Coordinator)

The Office of Graduate Enrollment Services is looking for an Enrollment Coordinator to oversee matters pertaining to a graduate student’s academic record from admission to graduation. This position will be assigned the following duties: interpret and enforce Graduate School policies and procedures to applicants, students, faculty and staff; research and evaluate foreign and domestic educational documents to determine academic admissibility conduct training and workshops on Graduate School policies and procedures; provide continuous guidance to graduate program staff in college departments; ensure that specific requirements for specialized programs such as Integrated Undergraduate/Graduate and Joint Degree programs are being handled in accordance with prescribed procedures and degree requirements while resolving any discrepancies; analyze and review graduate student records to confirm eligibility for conferral of degrees; compose memos and letters to students, faculty and staff; draft correspondence and training materials for the academic community; and assist with functions pertaining to the graduate commencement ceremony. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Experience working in higher education and using student information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft or LionPATH) is preferred. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Requires excellent judgment in problem solving.
