Description
The Career Fair Coordinator assumes responsibilities for the career fair events sponsored or co-sponsored by Career Services. This requires coordination with staff both internal to Career Services and external constituents/vendors from across the University and community. This position will lead and/or serve on various committees. Coordination of University-wide events includes all components of event coordination from the selection of the date to the assessment of the event. This role must manage effective and timely communications while initiating policies and procedures that maintain optimal functioning. Budgets must be tracked to ensure efficiencies are considered with a positive impact on the bottom line while maintaining the integrity of each event. The Career Fair Coordinator will also serve in various roles within the greater Career Services unit, including presenting career workshops and providing drop-in counseling services to undergraduate and graduate students. This position will supervise a full-time Career Fair Assistant, a part-time Career Fair Intern, and other wage payroll, student, temporary employees, and volunteers as needed. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
