Penn State’s Undergraduate Admissions Office is seeking an Assistant Director for Transfer Admission (Enrollment Services Manager 1) on the Admissions Services & Evaluation Team, who will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the day-to-day business process involving transfer applicants. The Assistant Director for Transfer Admission directly supervises, provides training and evaluative feedback to the Transfer Credit Coordinator, and has indirect supervisory responsibilities for additional support staff in the transfer credit space. Strong collaboration with the central unit with oversight of Penn State's student information system to continuously evaluate the transfer applicant and credit articulation processes is key. The Assistant Director also works to identify barriers and actively communicates with university leadership across all of Penn State’s campuses to resolve issues related to transfer students and processes. Implement policies and procedures as directed within a complex and dynamic office environment that processes more than 100,000 undergraduate applications for 21 Penn State campuses. Collaborate with other teams within the Undergraduate Admissions Office and other units and campuses around the University to develop and enhance the recruitment strategy for transfer students. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of related experience and a master's degree plus additional work-related experience is preferred. A strong comfort level working with technology, including but not limited to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Docfinity document management, and Technolutions’ Slate, plus an analytical mindset and the ability to master other software systems is highly desirable. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and organizational skills, including the ability to manage concurrent projects and work flow is critical.
