Description

Outreach’s Penn State Professional and Community Engagement (PACE) Finance Office is seeking a Budget Analyst 2. This position will be responsible for building budgets, monitoring expenses, forecasting, preparing financial documentation, financial analysis and working with restricted grants/contacts within the University, Federal, and State policies. In addition, this position will be responsible for generating monthly financial reports, building FY budgets, and performing various other financial activities for our diverse units and unit directors. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A successful candidate must be a self-starter who is extremely detail oriented, has excellent communication skills, and provides exceptional customer service. The individual must be able to work independently and in a team setting, have the ability to prioritize/plan daily activities, have integrity, and professionalism. Critical skills for this position include being proactive, the ability to manage multiple priorities, use of sound judgment, and analytical thinking skills. You should have experience with streamlining business processes and best practice recommendations to improve business operations. You must be able to perform complex functions within Excel and have experience using a financial information mainframe. Knowledge of Access preferred. You should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with diverse audiences, organizational and strategic agility. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year with excellent possibility of re-funding.
