The Penn State Harrisburg Diversity and Educational Equity Committee (DEEC) is seeking a current Penn State Harrisburg student to act as a Social Media Intern throughout the 2019-20 academic year. This position will be responsible for maintaining the DEEC’s Facebook page, maintaining an Instagram page, and other duties as assigned. The focus of the content should be on DEEC event promotion; re/sharing resources; and posting diversity-related events in the community (and on campus), news, and professional development opportunities. Duties vary and may include increasing post engagement and building a resource of available content for future posts. All content must be in compliance with established University guidelines ( Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram), attention to detail, and willingness to learn and work as a team member. Successful candidates will be reliable, and timely with posts and responses based on an established social media timeline.
