Description

The Office of the University Registrar is looking for a records specialist with strong customer service, attention to detail, problem solving, and communication skills for the Academic Records Department. Primary responsibilities for this position include the following duties: evaluate and maintain academic records including grade changes and academic actions; process certificate program completions; changes to personal information; research, verify, and update student records; maintain and monitor the department email and interoffice mail; provide guidance and support to university staff, faculty, students, and parents; load and validate student records; adhere to university policies and procedures; ensure student confidentiality is maintained per FERPA regulation; and maintain the electronic permanent storage of documents involving scanning, indexing, and verifying. Additional duties for this position include noncredit record and registration processes; maintain and process Faculty Senate petitions. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications as well as knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is preferred.
