Description

The department of Neurosurgery is seeking to hire a Part-Time Research and Development Engineer. The candidate should have Masters degree or higher in Electrical Engineering. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electromagnetism (EM) theory, RF engineering, computer programming and hardware/software development (such as, V-C#, Matlab, V-Basic, Microcontrollers and circuit board developments). Specific key skills include: numerical modeling (using COMSOL, CST, xFDTD) and constructions of MRI radio frequency (RF) coils, conventional machining and operation of laser cutter & 3D printer, image data analysis and computer-aided design and construction of MRI peripheral devices. Understanding of dielectric material and their behavior in EM field is also preferable. Masters degree or higher; PhD degree and also prior experience in computer modeling of radio frequency field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
