Penn State Shenango seeks an energetic, organized, athletics enthusiast for a part-time Administrative Support Assistant for the Athletics Department. We value inclusion as a core strength and an essential element of our public service mission. This position will be solely responsible for providing administrative support in the Athletic Department. The support is categorized in three main areas- Assisting the Athletic Director in the form of travel and calendar management; Processing payments and procurements; and Supporting the campus sports. The duties include, but are not limited to scheduling travel for the Athletic Director and coaches for the purpose of recruitment; assisting with calendar management for both the department and the Athletic Director; processing reimbursements, paying invoices, and providing assistance with budget management; assisting with the marketing of the sports programs by creating game day programs, overseeing social media accounts and email blasts; assisting with planning and facilitating of the annual sports banquets and events; coordinating all team travel- including hotel accommodations and team itineraries; assisting head coaches with equipment, apparel ordering and paying invoices; managing the hiring and termination process of game-day staff. It is imperative the successful candidate continues to maintain and support diversity and inclusivity on this campus. The successful incumbent will have at least a High School diploma and 1 or more years of experience in an administrative role. This position requires excellent time management, prioritizing of duties, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office products and social media platforms is required. In addition to needing the three publicly available clearances, this position requires the successful completion of a motor vehicle record check as driving is an essential function of this position. This position is part-time, working approximately 20-30 hours per week, with evening and weekend hours during volleyball and basketball seasons; flexibility with scheduling is required.
