Description

The Department of Mathematics, in the Eberly College of Science, has a vacancy available for an undergraduate teaching assistant to act as a peer assistant to students for Math for Sustainability (Math 033) and to assist with other aspects of course delivery during the Spring 2020 semester, including grading. The selected candidate will work up to 10 hours per week, including two weekly sessions assisting students outside of class (similar to office hours). Strong mathematical and communications skills and a basic familiarity with TeX are required. The ideal candidate will also have an interest in topics related to sustainability. Preference will be given to undergraduate students majoring in mathematics, physics, economics, and related disciplines, having an interest in topics related to teaching mathematics.
