Penn State’s System for Integrated Management, Budgeting and Accounting (SIMBA) is seeking multiple part-time (or intern) trainers to deliver SIMBA instructor-led training (ILT) to the University’s diverse end-user population. Successful candidates will attend a train-the-trainer course(s) at University Park in April/May 2020 as preparation. Responsible for knowledge transfer in a formal setting, using a variety of toolsets and systems including PowerPoint, a live SAP system for instructor demonstrations, whiteboarding, etc. Requires familiarity with SAP (S/4HANA preferred), strong interpersonal communication and strong organizational skills. Must have the ability to work in a collaborative environment with a diverse workforce. Basic knowledge of training tools and methodologies preferred. Previous customer service experience is a plus. Applicants must have knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, SAP transactions and aptitude to quickly learn software products such as Workfront and SAP Enable Now. Must work effectively with SIMBA functional and development teams related to the course objectives. Typical candidates may include faculty, undergraduate/graduate students, exempt staff or others outside of Penn State with SAP familiarity. This position may also review and edit training materials (with guidance), internal quality review of training materials and bring issues and concerns to SIMBA management for resolution. Successful candidates may also assist with go-live support (as and if needed). End-user training will be held at University Park and at multiple regional Penn State campus locations. Travel between University campuses may be required. All training will be held M-F between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Candidates must be available for limited train-the-trainer hours in April/May. End-user training will be held in May and June, possibly extending through July 2020.
