The School of Music is seeking an Administrative Support Assistant (Undergraduate Program Staff Support) to provide administrative support for the School of Music students, faculty and administration. Job responsibilities include: building and maintaining a large and complex schedule of courses in LionPATH and preparing the final exam schedule; maintaining and updating appropriate records; handling course registration; scheduling credit by exams and processing student account fees; managing the drop/add process; managing the SRTE (Student Rating of Teaching and Effectiveness) process; monitoring grade entry by faculty and provide staff support for the New Student Orientation (NSO). Responsibilities also include: serving as a resource to confirm and clarify School of Music’s undergraduate degree and minor requirements to faculty and students, reviewing transfer credits, course registrations, and compiling reports related to degree conferral. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Experience working in LionPATH and 25 Live, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel is highly preferred. The ability to clearly communicate, interpret, and navigate complex policies and procedures is expected. A strong commitment to teamwork is essential. Attention to detail and an understanding of and adherence to confidentiality is critical. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
