Penn State DuBois is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual for an Education Program Associate in the Continuing and Community Education department. The focus of the Education Program Associate will be to establish relationships with local business and industry to determine educational needs in order to develop and enhance the skills of their workforce. The successful incumbent will be responsible for identifying, developing, coordinating, facilitating the delivery of, and evaluating appropriate and relevant non-traditional and workforce educations programs, assist in the development and deployment of youth summer camps, as well as educational programming for the North Central PA LaunchBox and Innovation Collaborative. Collaborating with campus faculty and staff, the Program Associate will help identify professional development courses that will aid our students when seeking employment, and simultaneously, aid those currently working in those fields within our communities. This position will assist in the development of program content, secure instructors, help create marketing materials, and promote the courses throughout the region to ensure the success of the programs. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Qualified candidates must have a commitment to promoting and enhancing a community that fosters and supports diversity among faculty, staff, and students. Successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated and detail-oriented, and have the ability to coordinate multiple projects at the same time. The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills and be experienced with Microsoft Office. Experience with CRM software and database programs is a plus. Preferred experience in consultative sales and/or business development. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with occasional evenings or weekends for special events. This position is required to have the three PA mandated clearances, successful completion of a motor vehicle report, as driving is a requirement of this position, in addition to standard background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
