Description
Responsibilities: Teach 12 credits of lower division courses in digital systems, electrical circuits, introductory and intermediate computer programming in C++, programming in Matlab. Participate in course, curriculum, and program development; advise students and provide career guidance; participate in campus, college, university, and community service activities; and engage in activities to stay current in the discipline. Delivery methods include face-to-face, hybrid, and online teaching. Qualifications: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science. Working knowledge of a circuit simulation software, (e.g. MultiSim, PSPICE) and a hardware description language (e.g. Verilong, VHDL). Demonstrated work experience in the industry and/or professional engineering registration (P.E.) preferred. Ability to support diverse student body and campus community, including appreciation and respect of differences in race and ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation, religious affiliation, age and life experience, nationality and language, and in physical capabilities. Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage.
