The School of Visual Arts (SoVA) is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Records Specialist. This position will provide primary support for the School of Visual Arts' undergraduate programs in Art, Art Education, Digital Arts and Media Design, and Professional Photography. As such, this position will handle enrollment-related issues, maintain undergraduate student records, and support SoVA’s entrance-to-major processes. This position will facilitate portfolio reviews for transfer and change-of-campus requests and work with the College Admissions office to inform students of decisions. This position also supports the teacher certification component of the undergraduate Art Education program, including Saturday Art School and student teaching. This employee will assist students, faculty, and other staff with administrative tasks and projects, coordinate the reception area, and serve as SoVA's first point of contact. As the primary receptionist for SoVA, they will respond to queries by phone and email, handle departmental mail, and provide general office support. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Penn State systems (i.e. LionPATH) preferred. Please submit cover letter and resume with application.
