The Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering is seeking to hire a Financial Assistant to initiate and process all documents and paperwork for purchases made within the department. This includes payment of all invoices from outside vendors, interdepartmental charges and processing orders to purchase miscellaneous office supplies and equipment. Initiate and process requests for purchase orders through the eBuy+ system. Reconcile University Purchasing Card Charges daily for all faculty and staff who are card holders and perform purchases of goods and services. Process all wage payroll appointments for the department. Maintain the department's Petty Cash fund. Reserve cars for travelers on the Electronic Fleet Reservation System. Act as the Expense delegate in the Employee Reimbursement System (ERS) to process travel reimbursements, and to reconcile the Group Meals and Group Meeting transactions. Serve as proxy for the Financial Coordinator. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with University financial policies and procedures and University systems such as Office 365, IBIS, ERS, eBuy+, Worklion/Workday preferred. Ideal candidates will have initiative and problem-solving skills and be ambitious and willing to work independently, while still being an integral part of a larger team, proven track record of working effectively with faculty, students and colleagues, accuracy and attention to detail, meet deadlines and the use of sound judgement and professionalism. This position requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
