An Assistant Professor position is available in Dr. Yi Qiu’s laboratory. Our research interest is focused on epigenetic and transcriptional control of normal and malignant hematopoiesis. The techniques involved in the lab include biochemical, proteomic, genomic, genome editing, mouse modeling, human primary cell system, and ESC system to study these questions. Candidates should have obtained a PhD or an MD/PhD degree and at least three years postdoc training in related fields and have evidence of prior productive scientific work in the form of publications in peer-reviewed journals. Prior experience with bioinformatics analysis, and/or use of mouse models is preferred. Job duties would include but not be limited to developing, designing and conducting research projects under general direction of the PI; overseeing postdoctoral fellows, training research technicians and students, and facilitating individual projects; investigating and evaluating research methods and suggesting options for improving experimental processes and quality; and performing data analyses, conference presentations, and manuscript preparation; and developing new research projects toward independent funding.
