The Risk Management Office seeks a dynamic, hardworking, highly skilled professional for the job of Contract Coordinator in the job profile of Proposal and Award Generalist level 4. This position will report to the Contract Manager and will perform most activities in a large volume, fast paced, and multifaceted work environment. The primary responsibilities for the position include: working collaboratively with the Contract Manager to identify complexity of contracts and defer or process accordingly; reviewing, modifying, and negotiating contracts in accordance with University guidelines and serving as the final approver to recommend for University signature; issuing authorized insurance certificates; assisting Contract Support Assistant with complex document review; making website updates for the Risk Management Office; and advising and assisting faculty, staff, administrators, and academic administrators, with decisions on various non-research contracts, other legal document issues, as well as a variety of risk related questions based on established Risk Management guidelines and protocols. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can prioritize a large number of responsibilities. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required. The candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as a team member to multitask and respond professionally in challenging situations. Strong attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills and a customer-centered, problem-solving, energetic approach to work are also required. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite is a must; electronic contract management system experience is preferred. Prior contract review, negotiation and drafting experience is desired.
