The Dean's Office in the College of Education is experiencing an exciting time of transformation and is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and outgoing individual to assist in this transition. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this highly visible role acts as the primary point of contact for the College and plays a vital role in its success. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills and impeccable multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced office. Additionally, the successful candidate will display a high level of professionalism, exhibit discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information, and have a strong commitment to exceptional customer service. Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: composition of various forms of written communication for the office; editing various areas of the College website; assisting the Director of Operations with examining business processes and procedures within the office, and making recommendations for improved efficiency; oversight of the integrity of office records and databases; project and special event support for the College; and will play a key role in interviewing and training wage and work study staff within the Dean’s office. Other areas of responsibility include serving as the reservation coordinator for multiple conference rooms within the College, assisting with various aspects of search processes for College-wide positions, and other duties as assigned. This position will also support the College's Human Resources team by assisting with scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, composing correspondence, and uploading documentation. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
