Description

This position is within Center for the Protection of Children (CPC) in the Division of Child Abuse Pediatrics at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and will assist research team members with all aspects of an NICHD funded R01 examining family and home factors that influence emotional and behavioral regulation for children adopted from the Pennsylvania child welfare system. The main responsibilities include supporting the recruitment, enrollment, and scheduling of study participants for in-home visits. The position is also responsible for organizing project materials, collecting data, and entering data into appropriate databases. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree (psychology, human development, or related field) is preferred. A background in working with children and families is preferred. Applicants will be expected to participate in data collection for high-quality research and must have strong verbal and communication skills. This position requires travel to and from locations throughout Pennsylvania. The base office will be in Hershey, PA on the Penn State Health Hershey Campus. This is a fixed term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
