The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking a conscientious, organized, and detail oriented individual for the management of academic enrichment, general, miscellaneous, endowments, and restricted funds. As manager of the funds, the position is responsible for keeping organized and complete records to maintain a sufficient audit trail, as well as ensuring that proper accounting processes are followed. The Financial Coordinator will compile data for analysis and forecasting purposes as needed by the Department Chair as well as develop and present the annual budget. Manage the post award administration for the department while ensuring compliance with University Policies and Procedures as well as applicable state and federal regulations, advise , faculty in regards to spending on their grants and departmental funds. Additional responsibilities not limited to: compiling reports, approving IBIS forms and ERS reports, reconciling pcard transactions, prepare and submit invoices for grants as needed, capital equipment inventory for the department, deposit incoming checks to ensure the correct cash handling process and work closely with departmental pre-award staff in the creation of budgets for grant submissions. Prepare and process salary distributions for College of Medicine employees using the salary assignment sheet. Serve as a liaison between College Human Resources and the Controller’s Office on Payroll and Human Resource issues. Develop and initiate process improvements. Train and assist departmental staff with University systems. Attend meetings as required. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Finance or related field is preferred. Proficiency with IBIS (PSU Integrated Business Information System), FIT, ERS (Employee’s Reimbursement System),Workday, eBuy, eSteward, Excel, and financial data tools is highly desirable. Completion of ACES is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have outstanding oral and written communication skills, time management skills, the ability to work collaboratively, effectively, and professionally with leadership, faculty, staff, and external partners, and a demonstrated ability to exercise discretion in confidential matters. This is a fixed term appointment funded one year from date of hire with the possibility of refunding
