The Department of Chemistry is seeking a detailed-oriented and self-motivated individual to join our team as the Administrative Support Assistant and Receptionist in the Undergraduate Program Office. This position will report directly to the Undergraduate Program Coordinator. Primary responsibilities for this position are to greet department visitors and students; answer and direct phone calls; make supply purchases (eBuy) for the department and reconcile P-Cards; sort and distribute mail; assist with student registrations (LionPATH); assist with exams, scheduling conflict exams, proctor assignments; submit textbook orders; collect syllabi; assist with course evaluations (CSRS); and assist faculty with room reservations (CollegeNet/25Live). This position will serve as backup to other administrative support staff. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Office 365 and Outlook is preferred. This position requires the ability to handle multiple interruptions and the ability to multi-task. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from the date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
