The College of Health and Human Development, Department of Health Policy and Administration (HPA) seeks a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with exceptional customer service skills to support the department’s graduate programs in both the curricular and co-curricular arenas delivering overall student satisfaction and program excellence. This individual will report to the HPA office manager and provide support to the Executive Director and Programs Manager of the MHA Programs, and to the PIC of the MS/PhD programs. This position will be responsible for providing assistance and support for the development, planning, preparation and evaluation of program activities. This individual manages student records, course records, course scheduling, and maintains online student communities. The position will also manage student inquiries and help resolve student issues when needed. This individual will provide administrative and financial support to the graduate programs and serve as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Solid working knowledge of Penn State policies, procedures and systems including LionPath, GRADS, Workday, IBIS, ERS, O365, with an emphasis on Excel and others is preferred. Required competencies include: outstanding organizational and communication skills (written and verbal), ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines, ability to work with diverse audiences and ability to work both independently and with a team. This position requires working some evenings and weekends for special events.
