Description

As a member of Penn State’s Corporate Engagement Center, you can play an integral role in starting an initiative to propel one of the most respected and successful fundraising and research operations in the country to new heights. Through consistent and compelling messaging across traditional and digital media, our team partners with other units across the University to build a culture of holistic corporate engagement. The Corporate Engagement Communications Specialist will develop and execute internal and external communications plans, providing leadership for all marketing and communications activities that advance the goals of the Center through increasing visibility to internal and external audiences and garnering an increased level of participation by constituents inside and outside the university. The Specialist will have direct responsibility for developing strategic branding, digital and physical marketing assets and traditional, digital and social media content for corporate engagement activity including but not limited to research, talent acquisition, philanthropy, alumni and student engagement, and professional development. The Specialist will lead a Marketing and Communications Committee made up of representatives from the Office of Research, the Department of Development and Alumni Relations and Student Affairs. Key responsibilities for this position are to inventory and push content to all internal and external communications channels; identify stories for print, web, and social media; provide content to maintain/update website; drive the creation and maintenance of a university-system-wide calendar of corporate engagement; design and execute focus groups for internal and external stakeholders; and design and implement Innovation Gateway challenges. The Corporate Engagement Communications Specialist will oversee the creation of print materials, drafting content as needed, including but not limited to alliance profiles, proposals, one-pagers, brochures and folders. S/he will work with the Office of Donor Relations to design and provide content for stewardship documents. In addition, s/he will document services and policies of the Corporate Engagement Center and disseminate to internal stakeholders. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
