The Penn State World Campus Brand Marketing Team is looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for social media to serve as an intern who will assist with our organic social media efforts. This team member will report directly to the Assistant Director for Brand Experience and will assist this manager in overseeing the development of strategy for and the implementation of organic content on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. This is a paid internship position with an hourly rate of $11/hour and can also be used for academic credit if approved by your academic department. Our team hopes to immerse the right candidate into as much of our daily operations and social media strategy as possible to help to prepare him/her for a career in social media marketing. This position would require 15-20 hours per week beginning in January and running through the spring 2020 semester. Requirements include a passion for social media marketing and advertising, previous experience or coursework in marketing and/or social media, general understanding of social media for businesses and brands, and an organized and detail-oriented work style.
