Description

Transportation Services is hiring an Assistant Event Parking Supervisor to serve as a member of its event parking operations team, which supports over 120 events a year, including concerts, sporting events, theater performances, commencement, community events, and more. Reporting to the Event Parking Coordinator, the Assistant Event Parking Supervisor will train and supervise event parking staff, set up and tear down event signage and equipment, collaborate with University Police to coordinate traffic movement, maintain equipment and permit inventories, and assist with various administrative tasks related to event parking operations. The typical work schedule will be 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday, but will vary based on event needs. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. This position requires outdoor work and the ability to lift and load equipment weighing up to 50 pounds into a vehicle. Prior customer service and experience with Microsoft Office is also required. With motor vehicle operation required in this position, a valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
