Penn State World Campus is seeking an Event Strategy Manager to join our Brand Experience Team to lead the strategy and coordination of virtual marketing webinars and events for Penn State World Campus. As a member of the larger Brand Experience Team, this position will also contribute to the development of our annual brand marketing plan and assist in other advertising and in-person event strategies. This position is responsible for the research, strategy, and coordination of marketing webinars and online networking events for the marketing strategy and sales teams as well as internal partners, including: setting the overarching strategy for the event platform setup, registration, promotion, and communications; scheduling and maintaining overarching calendar for all virtual events; being the main contact for our virtual event platforms (ON24 and Brazen) for vendor relationship management, contract management, and technical problem resolution; overseeing the creation of impactful branded presentation materials; keeping up to date on webinar best practices and making strategic recommendations for how to incorporate those into our events; analyzing and sharing post-event data to create status reports on event effectiveness; making strategic adjustments or recommendations to future events based on the results of this data analysis; and maintaining relationships with internal partners. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience: planning and executing marketing or promotional events, with experience in virtual event planning and execution strongly preferred; managing multiple client requests with excellent client service management skills; researching and implementing event best practices; managing relationships with vendors and internal/external clients and partners; multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment; focusing on minute details; analyzing event data; working as a part of a cross-functional team; and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will report directly to the Associate Director for Brand Experience at Penn State World Campus, who manages the brand advertising, social media, and events team. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
