Enterprise Applications, a unit of Penn State Information Technology is seeking a resourceful, highly motivated, and proactive Programmer/Analyst to provide outstanding customer service and support for Document Management Systems. Primary duties include administering enterprise applications, Document Management Systems, e-signature systems including integrations to student and financial systems, providing support for stakeholders, and helping ensure highest level of availability and performance of our mission critical services. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. The candidate must have demonstrated experience with performance tuning, and monitoring tools. Candidate must understand basic networking and ensure the service aligns with security standards and policies for Penn State. A strong background in information technology is required. SQL language experience is preferred. Familiarity with document management solutions or accreditation in the field of document management is an advantage. This position requires strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment; interact appropriately with specialized and non-specialized audiences. Requires handling multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail. The successful candidate should also have a strong desire to diagnose problems, have excellent problem-solving skills, be flexible, and maintain critical thinking abilities under pressure, and possess strong time-management and organizational skills. Receptivity to constant skill improvement and expansion of computer related knowledge is essential. Note: The 7x24x365 availability of the Document Management services requires some work outside the regular work hours to solve operational problems, ensure proper operation of new services, and perform upgrades.
