Description

The Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications Internship and Career Placement Office is seeking a PAID intern for our Communications-specific Career/Internship Fairs: JobExpo.COMM and "Success in the City". We are seeking the right creative and event planning intern candidate that can take our career/networking fairs that occur in March, and April to the next level! Think you have what it takes? The position requires strong computer skills; Photoshop and InDesign skills are necessary. The right candidate must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with exceptional editing skills. This position also requires someone who knows how to multi-task and work under a tight deadline. If you are personable, full of energy, like to have fun, and think this sounds like loads of fun, then you should apply. Only serious students willing to put in at least 6 hours per week should apply. Flexibility in your schedule is a MUST. The time commitment increases prior to the kick-off of each event (up to 30 hours the week prior to each event). The right candidate will be paid $9.50 per hour. The internship may be taken for credit. Intern responsibilities: Assist in prospecting new recruiters for each event. Communicate directly with registered recruiters for each event to make sure their needs are satisfied and they are informed about the event. Develop marketing materials for both events including flyers, event programs, and mailers to prospective employers. Assist in the coordination and execution of each of the events. Attend both JobExpo.Comm 2020 on Friday, March 20, 2020, and also Success in the City on Friday, April 3, 2020. Work directly with printers of all marketing materials to make sure all materials are completed, delivered and mailed in an orderly and efficient manner. Edit final event program for each event.
