Description

The Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness at the Pennsylvania State University (Clearinghouse) seeks a Research Project Manager to manage multiple applied research projects as part of a diverse team. This position will formulate project deliverables with stakeholders, coordinate data collection and provide analysis and reports to internal and external stakeholders; co-author technical and provide data management of quantitative and qualitative data. The Clearinghouse is an applied research center, nationally recognized for its work that focuses on improving the health and well-being of military service members and their families. Our projects focus on topics such as parenting, building family resilience, preventing family violence, enhancing child and youth development, suicide prevention, obesity prevention, evaluation of mental health treatments for service members, veteran transitions from military to civilian life, and families at risk, among numerous others. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of military culture and military families, or a military background are a plus. Master’s degree in a social science field (e.g., social work, psychology, human development, or family studies) is highly desirable. Selection is dependent upon successful accomplishment of background clearances in accordance with Penn State Policy. This position requires developing high-quality research and the successful candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills. The position requires some travel. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
