Penn State Harrisburg seeks a highly motivated dynamic leader who embraces Penn State Harrisburg’s mission and our strategic goals of student success, innovative partnerships and organizational effectiveness. Reporting directly to the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, the Registrar is a key figure who plays an integral role in enrollment services and academic affairs. The position is responsible for the leadership and management of all strategic, administrative, operational, and technical functions within the Registrar’s Office. The successful applicant will oversee the security, collection, and dissemination of student academic records as it pertains to procedures and policies unique to the Capital College; activities related to degree audit and degree conferral; activities related to FERPA compliance; and plans, requests and administers budget. The Registrar will maintain the highest standards of integrity for all student records. The Registrar supervises a team of professional staff. The Registrar will remain abreast of best practices within the regulatory environment and commit to further improve policy and practice, in relation to the University’s mission and strategic plan. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus twelve years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in a field related to the functional managerial area which has included supervisory experience required. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred. Familiarity with PeopleSoft and CollegeNET/25Live is preferred. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to details, superior customer service, problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-paced academic environment. Applicants must have the ability to work independently and also be a strong team player by maintaining partnerships with PSU-system colleagues; has a dotted reporting line to the Director of Enrollment Management and works closely with the Director of Academic Support and Advising Services, in conjunction with the School Directors and other relevant Unit Heads, to ensure there are adequate course options. Confidentiality is of great importance within this department.
