Description

The Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) unit of Penn State Information Technology (IT) seeks to hire a part-time Administrative Assistant to join their busy team-oriented office environment. The position will serve as primary support to the TLT staff. Duties include but are not limited to: assisting with travel arrangements and completion of travel reports, maintaining Office 365 electronic calendars for conference rooms requests. This position will coordinate and process all purchase requests for new technology at the One Button Studios, Media Commons, Maker Spaces, and The Dreamery located throughout the Commonwealth campuses and University Park. Other duties include preparing and submitting forms for financial reconciliation, and assisting with the planning and coordination of special events and programs. In addition, this position will serve as backup support to the Administrative Coordinator. The successful candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in necessary computer skills such as Microsoft Office programs, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality, coordinate several projects simultaneously, and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Working knowledge of relevant online tools such as eBuy, TrackITS, SuiteReq, Travel OnLion, Box, ERS, IBIS, WorkLion and Live25 CollegeNET is desired. In addition, the individual will be detail oriented, capable of self-management, demonstrate excellent judgment and problem-solving skills, and show a genuine appreciation in working with diverse audiences in a team environment. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
