Description

The Office of Engineering Research Administration in the College of Engineering is accepting applications for the position of Proposal and Award Generalist 2 to provide pre and post-award management as well as administrative support to research-active faculty. This person will track expenditures across multiple budgets and take action accordingly. Assure transactions are compliant with sponsor requirements and state/federal regulations. Coordinate project meetings and events. Assemble and review proposal packages. Monitor awards and subawards. Provide information and obtain backup, track and coordinate cost share. Communicate with faculty and the department support staff to initiate and/or process financial transactions, make travel arrangements and reconciliations, assist with grant related personnel appointments and hiring. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates should possess strong writing and communications skills, as well as project management skills. Demonstrate ability to work on multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines; experience working in both a team environment and independently; excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills; and a customer-centered, problem-solving, energetic approach to work are required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
